How it works

Uptime tracks every document until the day it expires.

Follow one driver’s DOT medical card through Uptime, from the day you add the driver to your roster to the day you export their file for an audit.

How Uptime tracks one driver’s documents

  1. 01 · Drivers

Add a driver to your roster

Name, email, phone, CDL number and terminal. Each driver becomes a row, and each driver qualification document becomes a column. Blue means the document is not on file yet.

  2. 02 · Invite

The driver gets their own link

Uptime emails the driver an invitation. They open it on their phone and upload their own documents. If you already have a copy of one, attach it when you add them.

  3. 03 · Upload

The expiry date is read from the card

The driver takes a photo of their DOT medical card. Uptime reads the expiry date from the image and fills in the field. The driver checks the date and saves, so nobody has to type it in.

  4. 04 · Review queue

    You approve each upload

New uploads go to your review queue marked In review. Approve one and its cell turns green. Reject one with a reason and the driver is told what to fix.

Your Uptime account manager confirms rejections before the driver sees them.

  5. 05 · Calendar

    Then Uptime watches the dates

Every document with an expiry date goes on your calendar in 90, 60 and 30-day windows. Uptime emails the driver and you 30 days before, 7 days before, and again once it has expired.

  6. 06 · Call

If the driver hasn’t renewed yet, an AI agent calls them

Press Call, or schedule a call. An AI agent phones the driver about only the documents that are still missing or expiring, then texts them a link to upload the new ones.

Calls go out between 8am and 7pm Eastern. The upload link stays open for 72 hours.

  7. 07 · DOT export

Export the file for an audit

Export a DOT audit file that summarizes your whole roster. It shows every driver, every document, whether each is approved, and when each expires.
